Some Precious Volunteers
Our Chapter would not exist if it were not for the more than 250 volunteers that make blankets and donate them for area children in need. Many of you make blankets at home, when you have a spare moment. Others get together with friends and make stacks and stacks of blankets. This past winter, a group of women in the Worthington area, met on Tuesdays and put their "pedal to the metal" and made soft, cuddly blankets. Thank you, Ladies!! Pictured below are just a few of the ladies that met weekly:
Pictured from left are: Joy Bushnell, Donna Leach, Pat Ruggles, Vivian Young, and Mary Ellen Followwill.

Make A Blanket Day Winner Announced
Congratulations to Jane Dager (on left in photo) of Kirksville on winning the new sewing machine provided by Tammy Jones (on right in photo) of Quilted Square, LLC! Jane's name was drawn from all eligible entries at 4:00 PM on February 19th at the conclusion of our sew in.
A great turn-out for this year's event meant lots of blankets were made for area children in need of our blanket hugs. Volunteers Rita and Merry (above), and Peggy (below) are just a few of those that came prepared for a day of sewing. Peggy was impressive with her machine quilting...wish you could see it up close as it was beautiful!
I hope to post more photos from the day in the next few weeks, so check back often!
